Fresh Sushi in Downtown Birmingham

Road To Burma isn't only a Burmese kitchen. It's also a full sushi bar, with more than 30 rolls and plates made fresh inside The Pizitz Food Hall. Here's how the menu works, whether you're grabbing a quick lunch downtown or feeding the whole table.

Start simple: classic & veggie rolls ($5–$10)

Signature cooked rolls ($10–$12)

Our 10-piece signature rolls are fully cooked, great if you're sushi-curious but not ready for raw fish:

Items marked with * on our menu contain raw or undercooked seafood. Consuming raw or undercooked meats, poultry, seafood, shellfish, or eggs may increase your risk of foodborne illness.

Deep-fried rolls, including the Sweet Home Alabama Roll

Warm, crunchy, and made for sharing, each in Regular or Premium size:

  • Sweet Home Alabama Roll ($9.50 / $18): salmon, crab meat, cream cheese, and avocado, flash-fried in tempura and finished with sweet eel sauce and spicy mayo.
  • Godzilla Roll ($9 / $17): tempura shrimp, cream cheese, and avocado, deep-fried and topped with crisp onions, scallions, and sauces.
  • Volcano Roll ($8 / $15): a deep-fried California roll topped with cooked crab, hot sauce, and chili powder.

Sushi + Burmese food: two Asian kitchens in one stop

The best part of eating at Road To Burma is mixing the two menus. Try a California roll with a tea leaf salad, or a Tiger Roll with a bowl of coconut chicken noodle soup. Pair any roll with the light Emerald Seabreeze seaweed salad ($9).
